What’s the difference between a clear decal and lettering?
Both clear decal prints and vinyl lettering prints are excellent choices, but have distinct styles that give off a specific vibe.
We've decided to describe both to help you make an informed decision.
A clear decal sticker is printed with a large, intact backing regardless of the shape of the design.
Our clear glass stickers come in four shapes:
-
Square/Rectangle
-
Rounded
-
Outline (cut in the shape of the design)
-
Overline (shape of the design with a border around it)
Clear decal prints also come in standard and inside glass options.
Standard Clear Decal Prints: The adhesive material on these prints exists behind the design. They have a matte finish and the image faces forward.
Inside-Glass Clear Decal Prints: The adhesive material on these prints exists in front of the design, or “mirror-printed.” The reason for this is so that you can stick the material from the inside of your surface with the graphic facing outward.
Our vinyl lettering prints come in self-adhesive roles that can be cut into any shape or size.
We offer them in three styles:
-
White vinyl lettering: Opaque white with full color graphics
-
Clear vinyl lettering: Transparent with a second-surface printing and mirror image design.
-
Frosted vinyl lettering: Semi-transparent surface and blurred from both sides.
Vinyl lettering can be applied on window glass, metal, plastic, and other smooth surfaces.
